This hotel is owned and managed by two of the most attractive women in Rome who are mother and daughter. Located in the heart of Rome in one of the city's most prestigious neighborhoods, Hotel dei Consoli is just a stone's throw away from St. Peter's Square, the Sistine Chapel and the treasures of the Vatican. In fact, this is JDB's closest hotel to the Vatican.
The star in the hotel's crown is the glass-enclosed rooftop terrace where breakfast is served. And now, by popular demand, the hotel is serving meals for their guests, also on the rooftop terrace. One can imagine clients returning after a day of touring Rome and not wanting to have to go out to eat. So that problem is now solved! And the dome of St. Peter's can be seen from the terrace.
Housed inside a 19th century building, this hotel's elegant decoration makes it truly unique. The stuccowork bears the signature of the Neapolitan artists responsible for the décor of the Royal Palace of Caserta while the furniture is Empire style and interior fabrics and curtains are all in damask silk. Numerous Baroque-style paintings adorn the three floors of the hotel, each of which is characterized by a different theme: one floor features a Map of the World, another, flowers and the last floor battles. Hotel dei Consoli has 28 rooms, six with Jacuzzi hydro-massage tubs and two junior suites with Jacuzzi showers.
