This wonderful hotel is perfectly situated in the historic center of Palermo only one block from the sea and is a trendy new (and reasonably priced!) addition to the choice of hotels in the historic capital of Sicily. Just a short walk from museums, monuments, markets and restaurants, the hotel is the only one in the historic center to offer an in-house spa! It is an intimate spa that is very well done and that is the joy of being there - one can completely relax. It has the atmosphere of a larger spa without the crowds!
The décor is contemporary, rooms are well thought out down to the tiniest detail with comfortable bedding and pillows, wonderful showers and a truly friendly and welcoming staff. Accommodations are comprised of 33 rooms including 3 suites.
A wonderful rooftop terrace with mountain views is available year round for drinks during the day or evening and breakfast in the mornings. Breakfast is included in the room rates and ranges from eggs and healthy options to sinfully tempting and delicious Sicilian tarts and pies. This is one breakfast you won't want to miss.
For dinner, a fun and quite different choice is Kursal Khalesa, located in what used to be the enormous stables of an equally enormous palace, which is a very short walk from the hotel. Upon entering, there is a bar with a large seating area on the left and a bookshop on the right. A drink in the bar is enjoyable before going upstairs to dinner in the open air restaurant (we dined there in February and were perfectly comfortable with the heaters).
