Built in 1809 and perfectly located on the Rue de la Paix just steps from the Place Vendome in the heart of Paris, the Westminster's discrete entrance takes one into a warm and wonderful environment where every member of staff speaks, smiles and offers assistance. The well-furnished lobby leads to a paneled bar with leather furniture and the feeling of a private club.
Lunch is available in Dukes Bar for those wishing lighter fare. Beyond the bar is the hotel's Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant Le Celadon where both the cuisine and service are impeccable. The restaurant is also the venue for the buffet breakfast which offers far more than just croissants and coffee.
On the fifth floor, a fitness center is tucked into a wonderful space with large glass windows providing plenty of light. There is a small relax room, steam bath, sauna and a massage room. Orlane beauty treatments can be arranged. There are antique furnishings and original art throughout the hotel. Rooms are spacious and the Vendome suites connect to a large double room for a very spacious two-bedroom suite. There are connecting rooms for families not seeking a suite. The hotel also has a Presidential Suite. Some accommodations face the Rue de la Paix without the noise from the street due to double paned windows. Other rooms face a quiet interior courtyard garden. All in all, the Westminster offers an excellent first class choice in Paris.
