If you wish to be transformed into a whole new you, this is the place to go! The 3500 square meter spa has every transformational treatment possible for health and beauty including a medical doctor and a dermatologist. There is also every type of fitness activity - even some innovative ones that were new to us. The spa director is American and has been at the spa 30 years. She is good testimony to the effectiveness of the spa as she doesn't look much more than 30 years old! Of course the island of Ischia is famous for the mud bath using the mineral rich mud directly from the ground which is good for a variety of ailments that come with age.

The spa has a large indoor pool that is open to everyone. There is also new pool at the spa complete with waterfall that can be rented by couples.

At one time the choice of Americans traveling to Ischia, this hotel is being brought back to the elegance of the '50's style in the public areas which are many and spacious. Although large, the rooms are located in three different building - the Regina, the Belvedere and the Sporting. All the floors are tiled with tiles made locally.

Among the accommodations are an Imperial Suite which can have up to two terraces, four bathrooms and two bedrooms. A section with four rooms can also be closed off for those traveling with large families or private security personnel. The Royal Suites each have a butler, some of whom are American. In fact, we noticed a number of Americans among the staff of 200. Many rooms have sofa beds for children. There are two huge junior suites with balcony and separate sitting rooms with sofa bed and full bottle mini-bar. They can be connected to a standard room for a family of six.

The hotel also has a small private beach and as well as lounges on the docks near the beach. The restaurant for lunch is located directly in front of the sea for a great view of clients arriving by private launch from Naples. A small and elegant gourmet restaurant operates in the same area during high season.
