Moy House
Ireland: Southern Ireland: County Clare
The sensitive restoration of this early 19th century, 15 acre estate recreates a contemporary and elegant ambiance for today's traveler in search of natural and warm hospitality. Here you will truly find a home away from home as each guest is greeted by the aromas of fresh baked goods from the kitchen. The kitchen is open to all guests during their stay. Candlelit dinners are an intimate affair served in the conservatory restaurant with sunset views over Lahinch Bay. Meals are country style with classic French influences. The chef uses herbs from his spice garden and local produce making each dish as fresh as possible. Each of the nine oversized comfortable bedrooms are individually crafted with a mixture of classic and contemporary functionalism. The Romance Junior Suite, "Moymore", is the original master bedroom with an intimate seating area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and features a turf burning fireplace. The new Signature Suite, "The Well Room", brings a new level of luxury to Moy House with soft lighting, elegant furnishings and a separate, spacious private conservatory capturing the ever changing ocean. The large bathroom features an original "well" along with a free standing bathtub. Located minutes from the world famous championship links golf courses, Lahinch and Doonbeg, Moy House is a haven for the keen golfer. Voted "50 Best Romantic Places" by Travel & Leisure Magazine 2009. It is also close to The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher.
