Wow! This has to be one of the most romantic hotels in Italy situated as it is with a spectacular view of the sea and the Faraglioni (2 huge rock formations that rise out of the sea). The preliminary design of the villa is attributed to the famous Swiss architect, Le Corbusier and it has been the property of the Manfredi family for three generations. Of note is the fact that the hotel was the headquarters of General Eisenhower at the end of the war and his meeting with Winston Churchill took place there.

The hotel is in tip top shape after a complete renovation and is looking great. Among the rooms are many spacious suites and all rooms have sea view. Furnishings include many antiques, some wonderful paintings as well as artifacts found during excavations. This is a popular place for honeymooners because it is a short walk out of the center of Capri in a more tranquil yet very convenient location.

On the opposite side of one of the hotel's two swimming pools is a full-service spa. It seems like everything here has sea view! A well-trained staff provides all manner of health and beauty treatments. For the active guest, there is a fitness center and for the more tranquil guest, there is also an exotic garden to enjoy.
