JDB Tours do not have to be booked in conjunction with a hotel booking, private villa or apartment rental. Tour itineraries are subject to change due to site closings, inclement weather, strikes or other unforeseen circumstances. JDB Ground reserves the right to substitute a venue or site during a tour in the event the scheduled site is not available. In rare instances it may be necessary to reschedule the starting time of the tour; in such situations, clients will be notified in advance.

Entrance fees to museums and exhibits are not included in the rate unless indicated, nor are gratuities for drivers and guides. Unless otherwise indicated in the tour description, tours begin at 9:00 a.m. and are available daily. The guide will meet clients at their hotel, unless another meeting point is designated in the itinerary. Rates are subject to change.

Guadalajara Walking Tour
4 Hours
You will be picked up at your hotel for a drive through the most famous avenues of Guadalajara to view the various architectural styles that encompass more than 450 years of history. Begin your walking tour in the city's historical center, noted for the mariachi music of its street musicians. Visit the Cathedral with its famous mural, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, and the Governor's Palace, both excellent examples of Spanish colonial art and architecture. See the beautiful Degollado Theater, home of the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra. The Instituto Cultural Cabañas, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was originally the city's House of Charity and Mercy. In its chapel are 40 murals by the great artist Orozco, that portray the artist's concept of the history of Mexico.

Tlaquepaque
4 Hours
Tlaquepaque, a small town less than a half hour from the center of Guadalajara, has the best shopping for handicrafts and decorative arts in all of Mexico! Stroll along the main street visiting shops to see a variety of items: handmade furniture; original art including sculptures, paintings, textiles; pottery; jewelry; antiques, to name just a few. A number of workshops permit visitors to see artisans at work. For those interested in pottery or ceramics, the Ceramics Museum or the Museo Pantaleon Pandro are not to be missed.

NOTE: Tour begins at 9:00 a.m. and includes car and driver/guide. Entry fees for optional visits to ceramics museums are additional and are to be paid directly by the client.

Guadalajara Walking Tour and Tlaquepaque
8 Hours
After a morning walking tour of Guadalajara's historical center, depart for Tlaquepaque. First enjoy a typical Mexican lunch (additional cost) and then your guide will direct you to the best shops for items of your particular interest. Return to your hotel by 5:00 p.m.

NOTE: Tour begins at 9:00 a.m. and includes car and driver/guide. Entry fees and lunch are additional, and are to be paid directly by the client. Not available on Monday.

Depending upon your preferences, shopping will be in Tlaquepaque, Tonala or Guadalajara.
